Your Light Is Strong – The Seeker’s Dungeon Theme Song

So, Meenamba stole my tag line, “The Mist is thick but Your light is strong, so we keep on keeping on,” and made it into a great song. I’m not too proud (almost but not quite) to have this blog’s theme song be a poem written by somebody else. It captures what this blog is about, intense self-reflection, combined with social awareness and a searching for a higher meaning than what is easily accessible to the senses… So have a listen. Below I’m posting Meenamba’s words.

Your Light is Strong written and performed by Meenamba:

“Like the Saraswati River
Hidden deep within the earth
There’s a current in my being
That is longing to emerge
And it speaks of something higher
Than my regular routine
Of attraction and aversion
To which I always cling
It seeks an open channel
Through which it can express
But I need Your help to step aside
And allow it to manifest

The mist is thick but Your light is strong
So we keep on keepin’ on
You wouldn’t bring us all this way
If you didn’t think that we could make it

Like roots seeking water
Orpheus Eurydice
My soul’s been reaching out there
For eternity
Straining to hear something
That I couldn’t see
A sound that blurs the edges
Of individuality
And now I can hear it
Clearly above the din
But I need Your help to open up
And allow it to come in

The mist is thick but Your light is strong
So we keep on keepin’ on
You wouldn’t bring us all this way
If you didn’t think that we could make it”

Thanks Meenamba, for your contribution
