Try Love

Creating
reasons for
anxiety,
worried not
for this soul’s
liberation,
black clouds
are engulfing
our society.

Wisdom
does not need
popularity;
eternal truths
need no
motivation
as it cares not
whether we find in it
clarity.

A mission
that requires
one pointed
singularity, for
which many
have resorted to
starvation,
a discussion
of which
requires little
propriety.

This depth
of understanding
requiring
an intense
sincerity, but
with honesty
always in want
of miscalculation,
truthful
acknowledgement
is truly
a rarity.

A need
to express
the wit
for the witty,
not really
a helpful
mental
configuration,
savage
the vision
that understands
not
nor feels
pity.

Come together
and acknowledge
the hilarity
of running from
a truth that
resolves
the pain of
the situation,
universal love
requires not
but is
the prosperity,
without which
we are all
practicing true
austerity.

I especially like the first stanza, and the truth behind it. How often to we just create our own strife, drama, reasons to worry? Even when things are well – we feel the need to make them faster paced – burdensome, as if that will prove our worth. So many souls in bondage, but I know a secret; it’s our Creator.

    popularity;
    eternal truths

    motivation

  3. Interesting, we all have different favorite parts. Mine is:

    resolves
    the pain of
    the situation,

There is a prayer I heard decades ago that I have always enjoyed, and resonated with. As I read and thought abut your poem I remembered it. It is: “O Lord, Please help me to make it through this self created and totally unnecessary challenge.”

Love this, Sreejit. So true. Guess it resounded with several people, as I’m looking at the above comments. You do this so well.
