This week’s prompt is: Motivation
“The mark of the immature man is that he wants to die nobly for a cause. The mark of the mature man is that he wants to live humbly for one.”
– Wilhelm Stekel
“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.”
– Jim Rohn
“If you’re going through hell, keep going.”
– Winston Churchill
Welcome to Season 2 of Dungeon Prompts. As it is a new year I thought that we could start out with a new take on our new year’s resolutions. In true Dungeon Prompt style, let’s look deeper into not only what our goals for the coming year are, but beyond them, what are the internal motivations that keep us moving from day to day.
*When times are easy we may not even think about what motivates us but when times get hard we have to look within and think of reasons to keep moving on. What motivates you in this life? What do you live for? What do you look forward to? Are you goal oriented or do you just take life as it comes, going wherever the flow takes you? Tell us about your motivations.
*Write a short story, poem, or share a picture or song that talks about your motivations.
*Any inspired offering that somehow relates to the idea of motivations for getting through the day.
Dungeon Prompts are meant to open up the abandoned rooms inside ourselves and dust them off a bit. Explore the recesses of your mind and get back with a poem, story, essay or creative offering. Link your post to this specific prompt page and I’ll share your link back with our readers.
To participate, all you’ll need to do is:
1. Tag your post with: “DungeonPrompts”
2. Link back to this page in the body of your post *
3. Dive deep within and give us a glimpse of your soul!**
*note: If the pingback doesn’t work, then please leave the link to your post in the comment section.
**If you don’t have a blog please feel free to join the discussion in the comment section.
