This week’s prompt is:   What Does Love Look Like?

“That’s what real love looks like—when your companion believes in you when no one else does. True love can really be that little red balloon that lifts you up through life’s storm.”

–  Tabitha Freeman, Becoming A Princess

“Never forget that justice is what love looks like in public.”

–  Cornel West

“What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like.”

– Saint Augustine

What does love look like to you?

Suggested Prompts:

*Does it come in the form of a beautiful face that takes your breath away, or is it the courage that makes one stand up and take on injustice and causes everyone around to get up and stand with them?  Is it universal, unconditional, and all expansive, or is it a secret hidden away, nurtured and protected, in the safety of your heart?  What does love look like to you?

*Write a short story, poem, or share a picture or song that demonstrates what love looks like to you.

*Any inspired offering that somehow relates to love.

Dungeon Prompts are meant to open up the abandoned rooms inside ourselves and dust them off a bit.  Explore the recesses of your mind and get back with a poem, story, essay or creative offering.  Link your post to this specific prompt page and I’ll share your link back with our readers.

To participate, all you’ll need to do is:

1.            Tag your post with: “DungeonPrompts”

2.            Link back to this page in the body of your post *

3.            Dive deep within and give us a glimpse of your soul!**

*note: If the pingback doesn’t work, then please leave the link to your post in the comment section.

**If you don’t have a blog please feel free to join the discussion in the comment section.

  1. Nothing is simple in my world. Had a post ready to go and then found a video that screams love to me so much so…there are 2 parts. The video to me says it all. 🙂 Take care.

  2. You have used three great quotes – the first about personal relationships, the second about justice and society; and my favorite – love in action; having empathy for our fellow man and meeting his needs through service. St. Augustine was so wise and he is very quotable.
