This week’s prompt is: Live to Work or Work to Live?

“There is no such thing as work-life balance. Everything worth fighting for unbalances your life.”

― Alain de Botton

“You cannot imagine the craving for rest that I feel—a hunger and thirst. For six long days, since my work was done, my mind has been a whirlpool, swift, unprogressive and incessant, a torrent of thoughts leading nowhere, spinning round swift and steady”

― H.G. Wells, When the Sleeper Wakes

“Life will always get busy, make time to do the things you love.”

― Lailah Gifty Akita

Today’s Prompt:

Do you live to work or work to live? Are you purpose driven or do you find happiness in simple pleasures? Do you have a strict separation between your professional and your private life, or are they inseparable? Are you happy with your current arrangement or would you change anything? Tell us about how you balance your life.

The article that you link to this prompt should be a new post written specifically for this assignment.

Dungeon Prompts can be a vehicle for us to open up the abandoned rooms inside ourselves and dust them off a bit.  Take the prompt, explore the recesses of your mind, and get back with a poem, story, essay or creative offering.  Link your post to this specific prompt page and I’ll share your link back with our readers.

To participate, all you’ll need to do is:

1.            Tag your post with: “DungeonPrompts”

2.            Link back to this page in the body of your post *

3.            Dive deep within and give us a glimpse of your soul!**

*note: If the pingback doesn’t work, then please leave the link to your post in the comment section.

**If you don’t have a blog please feel free to join the discussion in the comment section

Be sure and come back to check out the other prompt contributors throughout the week. Comment on their posts and let them know what you think.  Together we can help create a community of great writers and honest seekers.  We are a mad blend, let us honor the wisdom within.
