I am not
an entertainer,
I don’t sing for
wealth or fame,
but a warrior
on this path;
my song glorifies
Her name.

Some are touched
by God
and they start
to speak in tongues
while others use
music to
merge duality back
into One.

Battling through
illusions
– some pleasant
for a time –
let us not confuse
the darkness with
the reason for
the rhyme.

As we wrestle
day and night
with mistakes for
which we must atone,
let our souls rest in
the knowledge that
we are on the
journey home.

  1. … let our souls rest in

    I find mush solace in these words and their rhythm. I like the graphic at the top of the page a lot. The imagery matches the ‘feel’ of the poem for me. The monochromatic quality of it and the movement seem to hold the warrior and the wrestling through day and night.
