I’d rather be awkward than stifled, outdid than unrivaled, so I rummage through my verse creating idols out of trials, giving up the veneer of classy under the pretense of free expression, knowing it’s not charisma that I’m blessed with, but a neediness bordering on obsession. Accordingly, I might peddle my heart for a sideways glance

– brutal?

– whatever –

we’re in this game together whether or not you respect me, so I’ll go on begging for the scraps of love you might have wasted on the tele, offering you a vision of words feigning hidden wisdoms, but they’re just words after all

– yet they’re breaking through your prism…

  2. I love how sassy you are!! I immediately thought about our convo regarding you just not feeling it lately. And I feel like you’re just talking it out… hell yeah – whatever!!! Give us all the awkward, outdone, classless, obsessive utterings you’ve got. Each and every one is Pure Gold.
