Beyond the Senses

A universal consciousness existing,

and us with our philosophies persisting,

and faith plays no part in its subsistence, still we grasp tightly on to our insistence that we sift the seekers through our likes and dislikes, for

we need a story, we need a light, we need redemption to inspire the fight,

we need a chance for worldly glory in order to fathom renunciation for a spiritual journey, and we forget the darkness and open our eyes to whatever our imagination can inspire in us this time and

a universal consciousness existing needs not our philosophies – persisting – but without our faith we have a hard time finding reason in it all, lest there be no reason at all,

and then,

like clockwork,

we fall.
