Rage Against the Machine

Rage Against the Machine is a guest posting series designed to highlight topics about how we should or could be doing better. Rage here shouldn’t be misconstrued as hate speech, but rather as passion speech – passion for life, passion for equality, passion for humanity, passion for the environment. I won’t be posting any hate, so don’t bother submitting it – strongly defined passions, however, I will certainly post. Keep in mind that you don’t have to agree with me, or my own unabashedly liberal agenda or worldview, but also understand that I don’t moderate the comment section. I’m not interested in creating a platform for inciting violence, but calling it out. In the comment section I allow people to represent themselves.

Your post should be about what is keeping our world in darkness and your own solutions for shedding light. Talk about where your own passions lie, your own causes, and the glass ceilings you are trying to break on through. Your essay should be between 800 and 5000 words. You can send them to sreejitpoole927@gmail.com and write Rage Post in the subject line. Please include a header image, a profile picture and a short bio, along with your blog address, or whichever other form of social media that you would like your name to link to. Also, be sure to edit your submission before sending it. I’m eager to hear what you all have to say, so let’s say it well.

  1. Wow. This is a fantastic idea, Sreejit. Heaven knows, we have enough angst these days and there is no end of scope for material. Sigh. Thanks for letting me know about this forum. I will follow with interest, and will try to write something.

  2. But you don’t have to write about Trump to join in the series. You can write about anything that you are passionate about, anything that you want to help to change in the world. It won’t be a Seeker’s Dungeon series without an article from you.

    1. HaHa you flatter me too much, Sreejit! I just realized my comment was for the first Rage contribution…I was wondering where I put it. Oh dear, you sure you want my essay? [chuckling to myself with my cat next to me.] My gosh, I’ve become the crazy old cat lady, haha.

  3. Ho, you did a good thing here, brother. Every one of these is so freaking awesome! After reading them I feel like I’ve found family, like I just got the biggest hugs, refreshed, reminded, enabled, ready to go on. Talk about the power of the word — this site straight up rocks. You go!
